Thank you for your interest in Austin ISD and our virtual learning option

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Austin ISD is happy to announce the launch of our mobile app—a new way to stay connected.

The app will allow all AISD students, staff and families to receive notifications from the district and campuses for which they wish to subscribe.

At-Home Distance Teaching and Learning:

Austin ISD will host two virtual information sessions to help give students, families and staff a stronger sense of what the return to school will look and feel like in August.

The health and safety of our students and staff are at the forefront of all of our decisions.

We know our parents and staff have some questions regarding how school may look in just over a month.

We're here to help you with your needs this summer.

Because Ortega Elementary participates in the Community Eligibility Provision Program, or Provision 2, your family is automatically eligible to apply for Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits to buy food

Austin ISD is here to serve you. We know it’s not always easy to find time to reach out and that other unforeseen obstacles can present additional changes.

AISD families, voice your opinions about these important issues:

Monday-Friday, from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., families may drop off non-working Austin ISD Chromebooks at:

Did you know that today is El Dia Del Niño (Children's Day)?

Our literacy partners Texas Kids Read brought books to distribute plus special guests from the Austin Spurs basketball team.  A number of classes visited with the players and asked questions March 5th.  For more information, visit https://txkidsread.org/ and

The local law firm of Funk & Associates has offered to partner with Ortega by supporting our students.   They've begun by donating $150.  Thank you, and welcome!
